    · *Eurozone final CPI arrives at 2.0% in August vs. 2.0 expected.*
    · *The US dollar retreat, Italy’s budget optimism aids the EUR/USD recovery. *
    · *Will it sustain the renewed uptick amid looming US tariffs announcement?*

The recovery in the *EUR/USD* pair from near 1.1620 region appears to have lost steam just below the 100-DMA barrier at 1.1666, now consolidating the latest upmove near the midpoint of the 1.16 handle.

EUR futures: recovery seen picking up pace

The spot reversed almost a quarter of Friday’s decline and entered a phase of consolidation over the last hour, as the USD buyers appear to have returned, bringing a halt to the US dollar retreat across the board.

The sentiment around the greenback remains buoyed amid re-emergence of trade tensions between the US and China, as the US President Trump is set to announce an additional tariff on $ 200 billion of Chinese goods while China’s Foreign Minister pledged to retaliate should the US implement fresh trade tariffs later on Monday.

Meanwhile, the common-currency was also left unimpressed by the in-line with expectations Eurozone final CPI release that confirmed the flash readout of 2.0% y/y in August.

The immediate focus now remains on the Bundesbank monthly economic report while the EUR markets cheer the report of more positive Italian budget deficit limit. Also, markets digest the latest comments by the ECB policymaker Benoit Coeure, citing that there might be a case to extend forward guidance beyond the timing of lift off.

    *EUR/USD Technical Levels*

According to Slobodan Drvenica at Windsor Brokers, “Converged 10/20/55SMA contained dip, offering initial support at 1.1614, ahead of pivotal support at 1.1600 (Fibo 61.8%), loss of which would confirm reversal and possibly lead towards full retracement of 1.1526/1.1721 upleg. Bearish momentum is building and supporting near-term action, along with south-heading slow stochastic, after false break above falling 100SMA (currently at 1.1672. Thick hourly cloud stands above (spanned between 1.1639 and 1.1673), marking a strong barrier which should limit upside attempts. *Res:* 1.1640; 1.1673; 1.1701; 1.1721. *Sup: *1.1614; 1.1600; 1.1572; 1.1526.” Reported by FXstreet.com 1 hour ago.

Anders Svendsen, Research Analyst at Nordea Markets, notes that the final Euro-area HICP numbers confirmed the flash estimates for August core CPI of 0.2% m/m and 1.0% y/y.

    *Key Quotes*

“Upward momentum in underlying inflation is fading. Super-core inflation was 1.1% y/y in August (Nordea measure) when excluding package holidays, down from 1.2% y/y in July, and in roughly the same in % 3m/3m.”

“Country details showed that Germany is pulling lower due mostly to falling education prices, while France is still seeing stronger momentum even if super-core inflation remains low in % y/y terms.”

    “*Wage increases accelerating*

We expect that core inflation will accelerate gradually in 2019-2020 (our forecast). The main contributor to the future inflation will be higher labour costs.

In the second quarter or 2018, labour compensation was up 2.3% y/y – the fastest pace since 2008. Although a part of the acceleration is due to temporary factors such as higher public sector wages in Italy, it is noteworthy that wage increases are becoming larger in most Euro-area countries.

Thus, it seems that the tightening of labour market is now taking wages higher and while a part of the increases can be compensated by productivity increases, we expect them to feed also core inflation.” Reported by FXstreet.com 43 minutes ago.

ROME (AP) — Officials in northern Italy say they have confirmed that commercial water cooling towers were the source of a Legionnaires' disease outbreak that sent more than 400 people to the hospital with pneumonia. Two people died. Of the 10 tests on samples taken from three cooling towers in the three hardest-hit towns, nine tested positive for the Legionnaires' bacteria. Lombardy's top welfare official, Giulio Gallera, announced a sanitizing program and said in a statement Monday that while some bacteria was found in stagnant water along the Chiesa river, the water supply is safe to drink in the city of Brescia. Inventory Management Software Market By End Use (Manufacturing, Medical/Healthcare, Retail, Automotive, Oil & Gas), By Deployment Model (On-premise, Cloud), By Organization (Large Organization, SMB), By Application (Order Management, Asset Tracking, Service Management, Product Differentiation, Inventory Optimization), By Type (Manually Managed Inventory System, Barcode Scanning System, Advanced Radio Frequency System (RFID)), Regional Outlook, Competitive Market Share & Forecasts to 2024

Sellbyville, Delaware, Sept. 18, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --Inventory Management Software Market share is poised to surpass USD 3 billion by 2024; according to a new research report by Global Market Insights, Inc. The market growth is attributed to the rapidly growing global e-commerce landscape, retailers emphasizing on offering omnichannel shopping experience to their customers, and the increasing manufacturing output due to the adoption of Industrial IoT (IIoT).

Inadequate supply of inventory may grind manufacturing operations into a halt. On the other hand, the excessive supply of inventory can cripple an organization’s cash flow and pose a threat to its liquidity position. Either way, inefficient inventory management in manufacturing organizations can create serious challenges for the productivity of the companies. Hence, the demand for robust inventory management solutions in the manufacturing sector is expected to increase consistently over the forecast timeline.

The advanced radio frequency system (RFID) segment in inventory management software market is projected to register an accelerated growth during the forecast timeline with an impressive CAGR of around 11%. The technology allows supply chain managers to identify individual products and components and to track the movement of the inventory throughout the supply chain right from the manufacturing unit to the point-of-sale. The systems are used for ensuring stock security, quality control, and for the prevention of over-stocking or under-stocking of products.

The inventory optimization application is anticipated to exhibit a lucrative growth at a CAGR of over 9% between 2018 and 2024. Inventory management systems enable effective inventory optimization by allowing organizations to reduce inventory by a considerable percentage to free up working capital from unnecessary inventory buffers. This also facilitates reduced inventory carrying costs and increased customer service performance.

The cloud model is projected to acquire an inventory management software market share of over 35% by 2024. The market growth is characterized by increasing awareness regarding the benefits of scalability, flexibility, and enhanced security offered by cloud platforms. SMBs can save significant costs on capital investments by opting for cloud-based inventory management software without the need for procuring dedicated hardware and software resources. Also, cloud providers offer pay-as-you-go services to their customers, allowing them to scale their usage of inventory management systems dynamically with respect to the changing market demands.

The large organization market is projected to register an impressive growth over the forecast timeline with a CAGR of over 8%. Large enterprises invest significant resources in inventory management systems to ensure uninterrupted supply of inventory throughout the supply chain for avoiding any production or distribution losses. The solutions enable such businesses with large volumes of inventory to efficiently track the products at every stage.

The manufacturing sector is expected to secure a inventory management software market share of over 25% by 2024. This impressive growth is attributed to the robust growth of the manufacturing sector after Industry 4.0, and the emergence of automation systems in manufacturing to rapidly increase production capacities. According to the UN, manufacturing globally contributed to 17% of the total economic value in 2016. This steady growth of the sector is expected to further fuel the demand for modern inventory management software to streamline and optimize the manufacturing process flows.

Asia Pacific inventory management software market is projected to register an excellent growth with a CAGR of around 10% between 2018 and 2024. This growth can be attributed to a rapidly evolving e-commerce ecosystem along with heavy investments from venture capitalists to leverage the growing demand for online marketplaces. In 2017-2018, the retail shrinkage as a percentage of sales in the Asia Pacific region was estimated at around 1.75%, amounting to nearly USD 24 billion. To tackle the growing concerns related to the inventory shrinkage, the uptake of inventory management software in the region is expected to grow consistently over the forecast timeline.

Companies operating in the global inventory management software market are focusing on technology innovations, strategic acquisitions, and mergers to strengthen their market position and to acquire new customers. For instance, in April 2018, SAP SE acquired Callidus Cloud Software, Inc. at USD 36 per share in a cash deal. This acquisition will strengthen the position of SAP in the inventory management market by integrating advanced CRM and sales optimization capabilities of the Callidus Cloud into its inventory management system. Similarly, in 2016, Oracle acquired one of the leading vendors of the inventory management software, Netsuite, to strengthen its market position and expand its customer base.

Some of the key players operating in the inventory management software market are Ordoro, Fishbowl, Zoho, Oracle, Microsoft, SAP, Stitch Labs, Dapulse (Monday.com), Dearinventory, Brightperal, TradeGecko, Orderhive, Handifox, Veeqo, SkuVault, Megaventory, Wasp Barcode Technologies, Acctivate, Sage, Manhattan Associates, and KCSI.
