(AP) - CAPAIN ON TRIAL: The captain of the Costa Concordia, which claimed 32 lives in a shipwreck last year, went on trial in Italy as the sole defendant. THE CHARGES: Francesco Schettino is charged with manslaughter, abandoning ship and causing the shipwreck. CONTROVERSY: Many survivors are frustrated the lack of any other defendants on trial, frustrating hopes of learning why the sophisticated ship struck the jagged reef, and why everyone wasnt safely evacuated.
