Kim Kardashian and Kanye West threw the biggest celebrity wedding of the year last month, but the two most A-list names on their guest list never made it to the couple's nuptials in Florence, Italy.
There was much talk over whether Beyonce and Jay Z would attend the wedding, and when it was discovered that they skipped the lavish affair in favor of a weekend in the Hamptons, it was hard to see it as anything but a snub -- despite Beyonce's sincere Instagram message to the newlyweds.
But the fact that Mr. and Mrs. Carter weren't in attendance was no big deal, if you believe Kris Jenner.
"There was so much commotion and excitement, I never really gave that a second thought," the 58-year-old momager explained when she called into the "The Kyle and Jackie O Show" on Tuesday, June 10.
"If you had been there, you would have thought that was the last thing on anyone's mind," she told the show's hosts, adding, "[I] just assumed they were working."
But while Jenner is downplaying the reaction to the snub, it seems like it might have been a bigger deal than she's willing to admit. Rumors of tension between West and Jay Z have been brewing for some time, and the fact that West omitted Jay Z's name from his lyrics three times while performing this past weekend at the X Games in Austin only seems to further fuel speculation that a full-on feud is in full swing.
