Credit: Getty Images[/caption] James Gandolfini, who won three Emmys for his role as Tony Soprano on HBO's "The Sopranos," reportedly died in Italy today after suffering a heart attack, TMZ reports. He was 51. Gandolfini was in Italy to attend the 59th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily. [embedgallery id = 172167] He first garnered fame playing a hitman in 1993's "True Romance." But it was his role as the brash, troubled mob boss Tony Soprano that earned him legions of fans of the six-season HBO series. Gandolfini is survived by his wife, Deborah Lin, who gave birth to the couple's daughter in October. He has a teenage son from a previous marriage. More on this story as it develops.
