Southern Wine and Spirits’ Wine Director, Kevin Riley, has hand selected each wine to perfectly complement each of the five courses served at the tasting event.
Five foie gras courses will be served cocktail party style at the September 28 tasting event including: Foie Gras Terrine with Pear Currant Chutney (served with a rich Alsatian Pinot Gris), Asian Spiced Foie Gras Torchon with Ginger, Carrot and Radish Sprout Salad (served with an aromatic Alsatian Gewürztraminer), Seared Foie Gras with Cabernet Balsamic Berry Reduction (served with a luscious Washington state red blend with black cherry and chocolate notes), Wagyu Beef Sliders with Seared Foie Gras, Duck Bacon, and Spicy Tomato Jam (served with "Shatter" French Grenache), and White and Dark Chocolate Foie Gras Truffles (served with Sparkling red wine from Piedmont, Italy).
