Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, in a recent press conference at the Venice Film Festival, said they bonded over their shared Italian roots on the sets of A Star is Born.

According to a report by Variety, Cooper admitted that he did not know Lady Gaga was Italian and said their East Coast Italian-American families were a huge part of their bond. He also confessed that he fell in love with her face and eyes.

Talking about Cooper, Gaga said that she needed to show her vulnerability to play Ally's character and Bradley made her comfortable on the sets.

The American singer-songwriter said that the story is about love and what Bradley refers to as the human plight of addiction.

Cooper also said that if Warner Brothers allowed him to continue to tell these stories, he would like to do it again.

Directed by Cooper, 'A Star Is Born' is scheduled to hit the theatres on October 5.

Saved by Halo: Sauber driver Marcus Ericsson walks away unharmed after spectacular crash at Monza

Team Sauber is having a rough August (September now) on track. Last week during Belgian GP at Spa, even though Fernando Alonso lost a lot, the collision also took out Charles Leclerc out of the race. This week, at Monza for Italian GP, it was LeClerc's teammate Marcus Ericsson who suffered a horrific crash during the second practice session.

Thanks to halo protection and some miracle, Ericsson walked away from the crash unharmed. The Swede's car wrecked after hitting the barriers and barrel-rolling multiple times.

The Swede gave a thumbs-up signal on his return to the pit lane and the session resumed after a 20-minute stoppage.

Here's how the spectacle unfolded.

Sauber is not having a great time since past couple of weekends. Last week, Charles Leclerc couldn't finish his race at Belgian GP after the massive clash with McLaren's Fernando Alonso. This time it was his teammate Marcus Ericsson. (Reuters)

Television footage showed the car suddenly spearing left at speed as he applied the brakes at the first chicane moments after the afternoon session had started.

The car flipped three or four times before coming to rest on the grass the right way up. Replays suggested that the car's drag reduction system (DRS) -- a flap that opens and closes on the rear wing -- had failed. (Reuters)

Much fuss was made about the HALO guards fixed atop the F1 cars before the 2017 season. But looking at these Sauber crashes back to back, the decision to bring in this driver security measure was a great idea! (YouTube Screenshot)

"I don't know what happened there," Ericsson said over the radio before stepping out of the car. Whatever was left of the car was brought back to the Sauber pits. (Reuters)

Ericsson went to the medical centre for precautionary checks while the session was suspended for marshals to clear the debris. The Swede gave a thumbs-up signal on his return to the pit lane and the session resumed after a 20-minute stoppage. (AFP)
