After a brief six week reign as the world's oldest man, Upper West Side resident Alexander Imich died in a senior home on West End Avenue yesterday. Imich, who immigrated to America from Poland in the '50s after he and his wife were interned in a Soviet labor camp, had turned 111 in February. He claimed the title of oldest man on earth in April after Italy's Arturo Licata passed away, one week before his 112th birthday. [ more › ]
