Cynny brings to market a new end-to-end solution to revolutionize content sharing and starts from creating its own infrastructure to sustain its communications platform.
Florence, Italy and Menlo Park, California (PRWEB) June 09, 2014
NYC Cloud Expo 2014 – Cynny is a company based in Florence, Italy and Menlo Park, California, that has invented a new generation system of synergetic hardware and software equipped to file, handle and publish huge amounts of data in the Cloud. This platform is called “Cynny Social Cloud”.
Cynny’s Social Cloud is a communications platform that aims to revolutionize the way people experience their content. It offers the possibility of creating a live channel where any type of file (photos, videos, documents or internet content) can be experienced and shared on or off any of todays communication platforms such as social networks, content sharing apps, etc. Cynny brings the freedom of sharing without constraints and gives you 100% control over your files.
As it marches toward creating a new ‘Social’ sharing experience for consumers, Cynny, in collaboration with their strategic partner Ambedded, introduces a new scalable, environmentally-friendly and technologically advanced infrastructure powered by ARM designed CPU supplied by Marvell Technology Group Ltd. The concept arose out of the need for Cynny to find an appropriate server solution for its Social Cloud platform that requires the ability to store huge amounts of data, while also performing operations on and with the data itself.
“Cynny CYInfrastructure meets the performance, cost of ownership and power efficiency needed of next generation Cloud services,” said Andrea Marchi, CMO of Cynny. “Large amounts of data can be stored efficiently and in a reliable matter, while still providing a smooth dynamic interaction with media rich data like photos and videos in the Cloud.”
CYinsfrastructure products like the CY7 are designed for low energy consumption and high storage density, and are infinitely scalable. Each computing module is a network node of its own, making it the world’s smallest microserver. CY7 is the first ARM based storage solution that accommodates 14 CPU’s and 12 hard disks in the space of one ordinary rack unit. This results in a very high-density storage solution and provides large computing power to run front-end applications.
“Cynny’s ARM-based server demonstrates what is possible for next-generation cloud and data center infrastructure,” said Lakshmi Mandyam, director, server systems and ecosystems, ARM. “Cloud-based solutions are optimized for total cost of ownership, and ARM’s energy-efficient leadership, flexible platforms and business models enable partners like Cynny to creatively meet stringent density and scalability goals for their cloud service platform.” To read more technical details about the solution, visit the ARM Connected Community® blog.

About Cynny
Cynny is a pioneer in cloud technology, and has invented a one-of-a-kind ‘Social Cloud’ communications platform that aims at revolutionize the way people experience their content. Cynny’s ‘Social Cloud’ offers the possibility of creating a live channcel where any type of file (photos, videos, documents or any other internet data) can be experienced and shared on or off any of today’s communication platforms such as social networks, messaging apps, etc. Cynny brings users the freedom of sharing content without constraints and gives them 100% control of their data. Cynny’s ‘Social Cloud’ runs on CYinfrastructure that was internally developed specifically to support the ‘Social Cloud’ communications platform.
